| We announced we are expecting another boy. The boys seem skeptical. |
| Baby boy #3 |
| Brody started hockey. |
| Learning to skate and not giving up. |
| Lots of play on our playset find. |
| Enjoying sunny September days. |
| Superman |
| After no real teaching, Brody figured out how to ride a bike. |
| He liked trying out roller blades too. |
| Oh look, Mav fell asleep somewhere other than bed. |
| We had our last swim at the pool at our townhome. |
| Brody gained a lot of confidence this summer by swimming so much in the pool. |
| Oh what a surprise, he set up camp in the hallway this time. |
| The first night in our new house. |
| Applesauce cake and pumpkin muffins treats for moving day. |
| Swinging at the school playground behind our new house. |
| He got in the way of Brody swinging on a playground and was knocked over twice in a row. Foreheads bleed a lot, but this guy didn't shed a single tear. As I cleaned him up in the church bathroom, he just pointed out the blood dripping in his face. |
| A little Operation practice. Maverick is taking mental notes. |
| Ready for first hockey practice. |
| The boys assemble a picnic table so we could make use of the deck on our new house. |
| CHEESE |
| This is why I had kids. |
| A proud moment after the playground was all assembled (and prior to staining it). |
| Shock, asleep again in an odd place. |
| 60 minutes of ice time = 1 sweaty boy |
| And asleep on a chair this time. |
| Enjoying happy hour on the deck. |
| Surprise, asleep on the couch. |
| Family selfie :) |
| I make a great pillow. |
| Trying on new clothes while holding baby brother's new outfit. |
| Yep, I'm such a great pillow. |
I should really call this post: The various sleeping locations of Maverick, plus some other happenings in September!
In September lots happened: We moved to a new place within Roanoke and we're so thankful to have made the move. It was worth the torture of repacking, moving, and unpacking within three months without having planned to do so. We had fun setting up things we can enjoy for the rest of residency; a swingset for the boys in a real backyard, a grill, a place to eat outside, and much more. Brody started hockey for the first time and was able to really stay focused during practice without complaining. Brody also learned how to ride a bike. Maverick found 10 different ways to avoid naps with 10 different places to fall asleep midday. It makes my life incredibly unproductive to not have him take real naps, but I still love him for all of the snuggles he gives me (and Ellie).
Good post. So fun to see the sleeping baby! I love Brody's little hands, so cute!
